Hi Everyone,
I hope your winter has been going well and that you’re enjoying your semester break.
I wanted to update everyone on the status of the ACCC Road 2021.
We are currently planning on two events, April 10 and 11, hosted by The Naval Academy, and April 17 and 18, hosted by Liberty University.
Teams are invited to participate if and only if their college/university guidelines allow it. We understand not all schools may be allowing travel/competition and do not condone or expect teams/clubs to break school rules to race.
Because of the differing restrictions from each school on travel and intercollegiate competition, we will not be awarding a formal individual or team omnium. Upgrade points will still be available, per the typical rules and regulations. Because we will not have a formal A individual omnium, riders looking to go to Nationals will need to demonstrate race experience at the A (or equivalent) level. Examples include but are not limited to: 1/2/3 road races outside of collegiate, participating in A races in a previous season, or A races in 2021. Virtual racing, group rides, wednesday night worlds, power numbers/data, and/or training races with no formal results will not be sufficient.
While we understand that not everyone will be able to travel and/or compete due to school, municipality, or state restrictions, we want to be able to offer these events, pending any additional rules and regulations.
If you have any questions, please feel free to ask.
